You can try that one: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/44168286/mview.zip

I could only try it with the SF/AD MOD files. Unfortunately the texture coordinates are lost during the conversion.

Yep Mview works well with the Archimedean Dynasty converted files, but not with the Aquanox and Aquanox2 converted files.

I did have seven files that failed to convert from .MOD to .X format, some wouldn't even be seen by MODTOX and others had less than three vectors for a face.

files were;

atbomber.mod
contfrt1.mod
contfrta.mod
panzbas1.mod
panzbas2.mod
russcout.mod
zorn.mod

all others converted fine and can be accessed through .x editors and viewers.

Strange. There should be nothing special about them. At least with the sf-modelviewer they can be loaded correctly.

Maybe helpful for a fix (extracted from the modelviewer): http://codepad.org/jaa1LuRx

I've setup sf-modelviewer to run as Admin and in Windows XP spk3 cap-mode. (systems 64bit Windows 7 spk1), when sf-modelviewer tries to open any of the above listed files it errors with the following message:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

here's the files;

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/14sulutywfli ... BOMBER.MOD
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/14sulutywfli ... s/ZORN.MOD
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/14sulutywfli ... SSCOUT.MOD
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/14sulutywfli ... NTFRT1.MOD
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/14sulutywfli ... NTFRTA.MOD
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/14sulutywfli ... NZBAS1.MOD
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/14sulutywfli ... NZBAS2.MOD

I think the files are corrupted, I'll reinstall AD and confirm this later today. I've not idea how they could have, as they were copied directly from the module folder.

Quick question does sf-modelviewer have options to display larger output and is there a print option also?

Indeed. Your files seems to be corrupted. Just try https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6841319/sf-model.zip .

EDIT: its just a very basic viewer without any additional features. It looks like this: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6841319/sf-modelviewer.png

As for the Aquanox and Aquanox2 .MSB files that have been converted to .X made by MSBTOX, I'll compare these .X files with those made by MODTOX.

No joy there is difference between the AD .X files and the AN1/2 .X files, but only in that the AN1/2 files have more data and sub groups labeled aquanox0 through to 18.

Bit lost as to why the AN .X files fail to load.

yes, and SFModelViewer works well with the AD models. And the MODTOX works, as all models converted load in DirectX viewers and editors.

but still no joy with the MSBTOX, these .X files fail to load! a bit lost on this one, I know it used to work back when it was released. Not sure what's happened, both MODTOX and MSBTOX work in command promt, but only MSBTOX's .X files fail to load.

started work on the AD models, converting into another format. I've managed to get some good images of the AD and AD2 vessels to work from...but these will take time to develop.
